A third party then certifies and confirms the recycled or renewable content of final products. Mass balance simultaneously empowers customers to reach their sustainability targets while reducing our own environmental footprint.
Founded in 2010 to support the implementation of the Sustainability Ordinances, REDcert actively promotes biofuels and liquid biomass certified as sustainable. In 2018, the scope was expanded to include REDcert2, which includes the efforts of the chemical industry to reduce greenhouse gases and conserve fossil-based resources in favor of sustainably produced and certified biomass.
